The Loeries has chosen “Create Magic” as the theme for this years awards. This theme is a rallying call to the brand communication industry to create work that truly impacts consumers in a way that adds value to their lives. They ran a contest with the following requirements:
"You need to create a full colour design that expands on the Loeries theme to create magic. Feel free to incorporate elements from the Apple ecosystem, should this be something that you believe will add value to your design."
Very inspired by the theme and requirements I ended up creating a piece I am very proud of something I never would have done.
As most of my illustrations are done on an apple iPad I wanted it to be the start of the visual. The main tool allowing me to create magic. With that I always listen to music when I create and added the ear pods, and added the apple watch as a 3rd eye.
The visual is very carnival, slightly trippy and dark.
Overall I had a great time developing and creating this piece.
